Advice
Accountancy Advice Services
A lot of Accountancy is set up around compliance. Telling HMRC what they need to know on time and paying your tax, which is where our specialist tax advisors can assist.
A lot of the people I come across do that and then stop.
All of the owners and directors of Contractor Unlimited have set up, grown, sold and invested in businesses. Whilst we specialise in providing accountancy services, our expertise grows beyond this into many other sectors.
We have been around the block a time or two and done some stuff.
We have worked on automation, systemisation, digital marketing, business structuring, legal agreements, strategy and many other things.
The thing that really matters to your business on any given day is seldom accountancy. What you really need is a business advisor that has some experience on the things that matter.
In addition to the accountancy advice we’ve provided over the years, here are some of the specific things that we have advised on:
- Re-structuring a business for investment
- Re-structuring a project to qualify for tax reliefs
- Digital marketing
- Business partner issues
- Taking money out of a business
- Selling a business
- Buying a business
- Problems with collecting invoices – poor payers
- Finance
- Retirement
- Risks
In short – if you have a project or a problem, someone in our business knows the answer. Just ask.
We help growing, successful businesses to enjoy total certainty and clarity in their finances without any accounting headaches, guesswork, or nasty surprises from HMRC.
Our Services
Payroll
In short we do it all. We have an Umbrella Company if you happen to work for an agency. We offer payroll to our clients.
Self-Assessment Tax Returns (SATR)
This needs to be done by the 31st January every year for the previous tax year. At the latest. So that’s the January after the April 5th Tax Year ends.
Real World Experience
The problems most growing successful businesses experience are not often the obvious ones. You open your business and write a plan. Then comes the real world and ruins it for you.
Bookkeeping
The world is changing, but most heavy lifting in an accountancy practice is still done by the Bookkeepers.
Online Portal
We use them, they are great. In fact some kind of software is now almost unavoidable. Making Tax Digital makes this true.
Month Nine Review
While I am chucking rocks at established accounting practices that just don’t work for small businesses, monthly management accounts are a waste of time. Until you get big enough to use them.
